Mercury is seeking an AML Investigator III to detect suspicious activity, conduct complex financial crime investigations, and manage transaction monitoring queues. The role is 100% remote within the United States and includes a competitive base salary plus equity.

As part of the AML Investigations team, you will be responsible for reviewing transaction monitoring alerts, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) from partner banks, and documenting findings for SAR consideration. You will work closely with internal teams and external partner banks to decision user accounts while helping tune transaction monitoring rules and building out case management technology.

What You’ll Bring

Experience in detecting money laundering, fraud, or other financial crimes within banking, fintech, or financial services
Fluency in bank transactions including ACH, check, debit/credit cards, and domestic/international wire transfers
Strong understanding of the business banking landscape and familiarity with international activity and ownership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complicated concepts with efficiency and clarity
Ability to confidently and kindly manage relationships with external parties
