Temporal Technologies is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead AI agent optimization efforts, fully remote within the US or Canada.

In this role, you will design mechanisms to optimize AI agents for token spend and response time, applying computer systems and software design principles. You will contribute to open-source systems, mentor the team on AI design patterns, and collaborate with the developer community. This is a high-impact position within an action-oriented team building reliable foundations for AI leaders.

8+ Years of professional work experience
Proven experience in optimizing AI systems using machine learning and systems techniques
Deep experience with concurrent programming using mutexes and atomics
Fluency in multiple programming languages including Python, TypeScript, Java, or Go
Experience designing APIs and writing documentation for public libraries
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
