Affirm is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to develop credit card transaction processing systems in a fully remote role based in Poland.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will lead engineering efforts to build and scale transaction, ledgering, and reconciliation systems. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product and design teams to deliver high-quality features while mentoring junior engineers and defining technical standards.

Minimum 4 years of experience as a software engineer
Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale
Proficiency with Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes
Experience shipping front end applications
Proven ability to define technical plans for significant features
Strong verbal and written communication skills
