AeroVect is hiring a Senior Software Safety Engineer to conduct hazard analysis and safety lifecycles for autonomous ground handling systems in a fully remote role.

The successful candidate will perform HARA, FMEA, and FTA analyses on autonomous perception and motion planning modules while ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 and SOTIF standards. This role involves close collaboration with robotics and systems teams to integrate functional safety requirements into complex software architectures, including both Linux and RTOS environments.

What You’ll Bring

5+ Years of safety engineering experience in autonomous vehicles, automotive, aerospace, or industrial safety
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline
5+ Years of software development or software safety experience in C++, Python, or ROS/ROS2
Deep understanding of software safety lifecycles, ASIL decomposition, unit/integration test strategies, and static analysis
Proven ability to work under the technical mentorship of a Principal Safety Engineer in an agile team
