GitLab is hiring a Staff Backend Engineer for its Developer Experience group, focused on scaling testing and CI/CD workflows in a 100% remote role based in the US.

As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will drive technical excellence across six globally distributed teams to identify and remove bottlenecks in the development lifecycle. You will lead cross-functional initiatives to modernize testing frameworks and pipeline efficiency while fostering a culture of continuous learning. The role requires deep expertise in Ruby and Go to support GitLab’s internal platform strategy.
