AlphaSense is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join their Identity and Access Management team in Canada, building scalable authentication and authorization systems.

As a Staff Engineer, you will own the full identity lifecycle, designing platforms that support over 6,000 enterprise customers. Working closely with a Helsinki-based team, you will drive architecture and development for authentication and user management to facilitate follow-the-sun support. The role requires deep expertise in security protocols and distributed systems design to ensure secure-by-design standards.

What You’ll Bring

Strong experience building and operating identity, authentication, or authorization platforms at scale
Expertise in Java 2X and Spring Boot 3.X.X
Deep knowledge of OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0 and enterprise SSO federation
Proficient in SQL, GraphQL, gRPC and REST APIs
Proven experience with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and Helm
Experience operating within SOC2 and GDPR-compliant environments
