Join Stripe as a Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical strategy for backend services powering Stripe's merchant-facing UI platform (Sail). In this role, you will define the cross-team technical architecture and multi-year roadmap for the backend-for-frontend services that power Stripe's Dashboard, mobile apps, and other key merchant interfaces. You will act as a technical leader, mentoring teams, conducting architecture reviews, and partnering with product managers and designers to connect Stripe's design systems with robust, scalable APIs. This position focuses deeply on raising engineering quality and delivering reusable platform capabilities.
