COGNATIV is looking for a Senior Python Engineer to lead the migration of a large Java-based monitoring platform to a modern Python monorepo. The role is fully remote for candidates based in Mexico with specific timezone alignment.
The successful candidate will own the architecture and implementation of a new Python platform while simultaneously maintaining and decommissioning legacy Java services. You will design robust FastAPI services, manage complex AWS-hosted infrastructure, and set engineering standards for type safety and observability. This is a hands-on builder role that requires deep technical expertise in both Python and Java to drive the migration to completion.
