Scale the backend systems behind Wikidata’s global query infrastructure and linked-data platform. The US pay range is USD 116,633–181,243, adjusted for other eligible countries.
Design production services and APIs, improve observability and automation, support data-pipeline migrations and respond to operational incidents. The role needs five or more years in backend or platform engineering, strong distributed-systems judgment and experience with databases, data platforms or knowledge graphs; the fully remote team overlaps between UTC+1 and UTC-5.
