Backend Engineer, AI Engineering: Duo Chat

GitLab is seeking a backend engineer to build and maintain the agentic runtime for their Duo Chat AI experience. The role is fully remote for residents of the United States and Canada.

As part of the Chat Engine team, you will focus on developing agentic flows using Python, LangGraph, and the Duo Workflow Service. You will integrate these capabilities into the GitLab Rails monolith, working with senior engineers in a fully asynchronous, distributed environment. The position requires strong proficiency in API development and a security-minded approach to building scalable AI features.
