GitLab is hiring a Staff-level Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the development of AI-driven agentic software development lifecycle solutions. This 100% remote role is restricted to candidates based in the United States.

As a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, you will bridge the gap between strategic customer requirements and GitLab's platform capabilities. You will design and implement agent workflows, work directly with customers to solve technical friction, and contribute reusable innovations back to the core GitLab Duo Agent Platform.

Amit hozol magaddal

Staff-level software-engineering experience building complex production systems
Hands-on experience designing and building substantive AI systems
Strong understanding of agentic systems including models, context, retrieval, and tools
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, Go, Rust, or Java
Ability to communicate technical concepts to customers and senior stakeholders
Proven record of Staff-level impact through technical leadership or product architecture
