Reddit is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale their media infrastructure, fully remote within the United States.

In this role, you will define and implement technical components for ingesting, processing, storing, and delivering video and audio content. This is a senior-level position focused on large-scale distributed systems and media engineering.

BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
3+ Years of industry experience in large-scale distributed systems
5+ Years of hands-on professional software development experience in Go, Python, Ruby, Java, or C++
Experienced with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, gRPC, and Thrift
Familiarity with video streaming protocols and compression standards
Strong organizational and communication skills
