Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to build and own AI agent infrastructure for their Marketing Operations organization, specifically for candidates located in the U.S.

As a Staff Engineer (AI & Automation), you will design and implement multi-agent architectures, LLM integrations, and backend services to power marketing and operations workflows. The role requires deep expertise in production-grade AI systems, GCP infrastructure, and self-service automation, operating with high autonomy to define technical direction.

8+ Years of software engineering experience in backend, systems integration, or data engineering

2+ Years hands-on experience applying LLMs/AI to production workflows

Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/Node.js

Deep familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and serverless/containerized services

Proven ability to identify high-leverage problems and deliver end-to-end with minimal direction
