MapTiler is looking for a Location Services Engineer to maintain geocoding and routing servers, develop geospatial pipelines, and optimize location products. This fully remote European role offers flexible working hours and competitive hourly compensation.

In this role, you will take ownership of the codebase and database, converting large-scale data sources like OpenStreetMap into specialized structures that power search, routing, and elevation features. You will collaborate across teams to design targeted service enhancements, working within a polyglot environment primarily using TypeScript, Java, and Rust.

Amit hozol magaddal

Ability to take ownership of codebase/database, define requirements, and drive progress
Hands-on expertise in programming, system design, and problem-solving
Deep understanding of common data structures and the OpenStreetMap data model
Deep knowledge of at least one of TypeScript, Java, or Rust
Familiarity with the GIS domain and coordinate systems
Fluency in English with strong remote communication skills
