Astera Labs is seeking a fully remote Embedded Software Engineer, Tech Lead based in Canada to develop firmware for AI connectivity solutions.

As a key member of a small team, you will manage firmware development, hardware bring-up, and test automation for analog and Ethernet connectivity products. The role involves hands-on work with low-level hardware, cross-functional collaboration with silicon design teams, and contributing to the scalability of modern AI infrastructure.

Amit hozol magaddal

BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
2 To 5 years of experience writing embedded C/C++ firmware on real hardware
Comfort working at the hardware/software boundary reading datasheets and interpreting hardware behaviour
Familiarity with Linux development tools like gcc/clang, make, bash, gdb, and git
Experience with Python scripting for test automation or data analysis
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
