GitLab is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer based in Poland to design and evolve backend product capabilities in a remote-first, asynchronous environment.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will influence the technical direction of global-scale platforms by building resilient systems and integrating agentic AI into engineering workflows. The role requires architectural expertise, including modular monoliths and database performance tuning, alongside the ability to mentor team members and participate in incident response.
