Director, SOX Compliance

Upwork is seeking a Director of SOX Compliance to lead its internal control over financial reporting program from the USA. This role oversees SOX 404 execution, risk assessment, and external auditor coordination for the public company.

As the Director of SOX Compliance, you will own the end-to-end execution of the SOX 404 program and scale the ICFR framework. You will partner with Finance, Legal, and Engineering teams to maintain a rigorous control environment while acting as a key advisor to executive leadership and the Audit Committee. The role requires significant technical expertise in PCAOB and COSO standards to drive continuous improvement and effective risk management.
